I had the priviledge of attending the Dodgers vs Mets game last week at Dodger stadium. I ate a dodger dog, drank a beer, talked shop (sports shop of course), and had a great old.
There was one thing that specifically fascinated me: outfielders. They just stand there! Every now and then they run and catch a “pop ball”, but for the most part they’re just hanging out. Chit-chatting I imagine. Or chewing their gum and daydreaming about what they’re going to do after they get out of the game or where they’re going to go on their next vacation. Or counting and figuring out when they’ll be up to bat next! It’s quite the job, and 3-4 players in every team have it.
While I stared and wondered about the thoughts of those outfielders, I was suddenly struck by the magnitude and size of Carlos Beltran’s butt. Now, he’s a very fit and attractive guy…endowed with a butt the size of JLo’s. I became obsessed with trying to capture a photo that expressed how big it was - the one above was the best I could do.
Anyway, thanks for a great baseball game Dodgers and Mets! I dedicate this post to every person who’s ever played outfield!
